Crucial victory boosts Dons

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood was pleased to see his side secure three crucial points from a scrappy 1-0 victory at Falkirk.

A Lee Miller goal proved decisive at the Falkirk Stadium, with the Dons moving up to tenth place in the SPL table.

Calderwood told the Press & Journal: "It's been two long weeks looking at my team at the bottom of the league and being asked about it in every interview.

"It's been a first for me in my career and hopefully it never happens again. The result was the important thing this week and we've got it. We can now go to Tynecastle with confidence.

"I don't know if I want to go through that performance every week, as I'd prefer to win in style. We all love to win with good football, but sometimes you just have to dig in."
