Aberdeen defender Kevin McNaughton has been handed a short trial by Premiership strugglers Fulham, as he looks increasingly likely to leave Pittodrie.
The 23-year-old has rejected the offer of a new contract from the Dons and is hoping to impress enough to earn a move to England.
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood told The Scotsman: "You can't stand in someone's way when a club like this comes in and there's no doubt Kevin has the ability to be a success.
"I told him that when he goes there to make sure that he shows them how good he really is, but of course that's said with my manager's hat off.
"As manager of Aberdeen I don't want to lose him, but on the other side of things then I have to say good luck to him and I hope he does well."
