Calderwood seeks talks

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood is seeking assurances from the club before committing himself to a new long-term contract.
Calderwood led the Dons to UEFA Cup qualification last season, but wants to hold talks with the Pittodrie board concerning their plans for the future before deciding whether to sign a new deal.
"I'll have a meeting with (director of football) Willie Miller on Thursday to discuss the way ahead, but no-one knows what's going to happen," said Calderwood.
"If everything's all right then you stay, but I need to ask if they can fulfil our ambitions.
"The directors have to show me what their ideas are for the way the entire club is going, then we take it from there.
"The current team is doing well, but we have done a lot of scouting at younger age levels and these players might still cost money to bring to the club.
"We've been lucky to get the likes of Scott Severin, Jamie Smith, Jeffrey de Visscher and Lee Miller for no transfer fee, but you can't keep building with nothing."
