Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood was proud of his players after they secured a 2-2 draw at home to German giants Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup.
Goals from loanees Josh Walker and Sone Aluko earned the Dons a superb result in front of a packed Pittodrie, with Calderwood's charges bouncing back superbly from recent domestic struggles.
"You want to prove yourselves against the best," he said. "I thought at times in the first half we played very well.
"Good teams allow you to play, you have got to have the confidence to do so. The boys got a lot of confidence from that.
"We know we have got to score there, so there will be no point sitting back.
"It gives the players a bit of pride back. It has been a horrendous ten days, nine goals against us."
