Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood has completed the signing of Dunfermline defender Richie Byrne after the 23-year-old finally passed a Pittodrie medical.
The Dons boss has also signed the Finnish brothers Mikko and Markus Paatelainen, the younger brothers of Mixu Paatelainen, and confirmed that Darren Mackie, Richard Foster and Andrew Considine have all accepted new deals.
Byrne has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal, while the Paatelainen brothers have signed until the end of the season.
"Obviously I know Richie well from my time at Dunfermline and he'll be a useful addition to the squad," said former Pars boss Calderwood.
"He is a strong tackler, with a good presence on the park and as well as playing at left-back, he can also slot in on the left side of the centre of defence.
"Mikko and Markus have looked good in training and having them here for the rest of the season will give us a good opportunity to have a close look at what they're capable of."
