Brown committed to Motherwell
Motherwell boss Craig Brown has turned down the opportunity to be considered for the managerial vacancy at Aberdeen after meeting with Dons officials.Former Scotland boss Brown and his assistant Archie Knox had been linked with the Pittodrie post, made vacant by Mark McGhee's departure last week.Aberdeen set up a sub-committee comprising of chairman Stewart Milne, chief executive Duncan Fraser and director of football Willie Miller and representatives of the Dons met with Brown and Knox yesterday.Motherwell chief executive Leeann Dempster said in a statement: "Given the fantastic on-field success in 2010, it is not surprising that other clubs are taking an interest in our management team."With that in mind, we can confirm that representatives from Aberdeen Football Club met briefly with both Craig Brown and Archie Knox."However, both have decided to reject any approach and reiterated their commitment to Motherwell Football Club. We look forward to continued success under both men in the future."
