Brown - Dons need experience

New Aberdeen boss Craig Brown admits he may be forced to wield the axe in a bid to dramatically transform the fortunes of the club. The 70-year-old quit Motherwell for the Pittodrie outfit on Thursday night, performing a dramatic U-turn having pledged his commitment to the Steelmen just 24 hours earlier. He now faces the daunting task of hauling the Dons away from the danger zone, after they slipped to the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League at the weekend. And Brown says departures are likely as he looks to add to the squad he inherited from Mark McGhee. "If we're changing faces we may have to ask some to go," he said. "It's not a big squad numerically so there aren't a lot of guys that we can eliminate from contention. "Youngsters are not going to get us out of this situation, we need experience, determination and confidence."
