Aberdeen's recent signing Craig Brewster was delighted to net his first Dons goal in the 2-2 Scottish Cup third round draw at home to Hibernian.
The 40-year-old former Dundee United and Inverness Caley Thistle player-manager came off the bench to make his mark and is happy to be back in the action.
He said: "I came here and was just delighted to be part of the squad and I always said I hope I can make a contribution.
"All I can do is work hard in training and push the strikers that are here and then the manager has got a decision."
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood added: "I just wish that Craig was 15 years younger. Mind you, if he was Aberdeen would not be able to afford him.
"I doubt anybody in Scotland could. You could see his quality out there and his touch and vision."
