Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood has played down rumours of a summer raid on Pittodrie by Celtic for defender Michael Hart.

The 27-year-old is currently in his second spell with the Dons and has impressed enough to draw admiring glances from the Bjoys.

However, Calderwood told the Press & Journal: "I've had no contact directly from Celtic about Michael, but I was told by another source three weeks ago there is an interest.

"Until I have contact from Celtic I won't read too much into that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Very few players in Scotland cause him problems.

"We don't want to lose Michael Hart and we signed him on a new contract at the start of the season, but the reality is every player at every club has his price."
