Aluko's stance angers McGhee

Sone Aluko is refusing to return to Aberdeen and has opted instead to take part in the forthcoming Under-20 World Cup.

The Nigerian star has annoyed Dons boss Mark McGhee by taking his stance but is refusing to back down.

Aluko said: "I want to play in the World Cup and just want my wish to be respected. I feel good and I'm ready to join the team."

McGhee had earlier said: "Sone has still to return here and discuss what's happened. Until he does there's little more to be said.

"We want him to come back and prove his fitness before a decision is made on whether he'll be allowed to go to the World Cup."
