Aberdeen-Mad Player Of The Year Announced

06 June 2010 12:08
The polls have closed and the Aberdeen-Mad Player of the Year is... DONS multi-function utility player RICHARD FOSTER has won the Aberdeen-Mad Player of the Year Award for 2010. Aberdeen-Mad punters have been voting in their hundreds for the last week to decide this year's winner of the award. And this year's Aberdeen-Mad PotY is a player who has stood up to be counted in a trying season for the Dons. Foster has proved this season more than any other that he is the Swiss Army Knife in the Dons squad. Playing in a number of positions during the season, the term 'utility player' is a tad unkind to a player who gives his all in every game. The high point of the season is surely when he and fellow fish-out-of-water centre-half Charlie Mulgrew showed tremendous grit, determination and teamwork to keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 home win against Rangers during a defensive injury crisis at the club. Congratulations to Richard, and hopefully he can finally make a position in the first team his own in the coming seasons. The final result: 1. Richard Foster - 53.7% (109 votes) 2. Jamie Langfield - 20.2% (41 votes) 3. Darren Mackie - 13.3% (27 votes) 4. Andrew Considine - 10.3% (21 votes) 5. Charlie Mulgrew - 2.5% (5 votes) Total votes: 203 Subscribe to Updates Via Email | Recieve News Updates Via RSS Latest Topics From the Stand Free Message Board Click here to share your views with other Dons Fans
