Aberdeen Boss Announces Player Clearout

13 May 2013 04:40
Seven players will not be offered new contracts at Pittodrie as Derek McInnes starts his Dons revolution.

Rory Fallon, Mitch Megginson, Rob Milsom, Gary Naysmith, Isaac Osbourne, Gavin Rae and Dan Twardzik have been told they are leaving Pittodrie.

Plus two contracted players, Stephen Hughes and Jordan Brown, have been told they can find new clubs as new gaffer McInnes looks to revamp Craig Brown's underachieving Dons.

Only Josh Magennis has been spared the chop, as the ungainly striker - scorrer of AFC's Goal of the Season this term - will be offered a new deal.

McInnes told RedWeb: "It's one of the least enjoyable aspects of the job to tell players that they won't be staying and I would like to thank all of them for their contribution to this football club. "Each of them are excellent professionals and we wish them all the very best in their future careers."
